Select your COMM Port, and your baud rate that you selected in the D700 menu. Click on GPS Connected check box if you connect your GPS to the Kenwood GPS port. Select the GPS sentance that you want (explantions at a later time - it's on the net!), then select how often that you want the GPS to update AprsPoint. This is not the BEACON rate, just the rate at which the GPS will refresh the data in AprsPoint. Finally check the box to create a map sumbol for the APRS stations that your D700 receives.
